Welcome to our Ambassador Plaza, a place for you to find resources that you need and to connect with staff and other ambassadors during your time with us.
Ambassador Initiatives
Ambassadors can partake in chatting with potential students either through a mobile app or from the website. For instructions, troubleshooting and best practices, please reference the Ambassador Training Guide in the Resources section of this webpage.
If you ever need assistance, whether with operating the platform or with a student conversation, do not hesitate to reach out a Lead Ambassador. We are here to help!
To create a post
• When you log into your Unibuddy account on a desktop you should see the “Blog” icon on the lefthand sidebar
• Click on the “Write Post” button in the top right corner
• A Topic category is mandatory, and while we have created some to start, if you feel your post belongs in a different one (or you think of a different one you’d like to write on) please let us know and we can add it as an option
Criteria for the posts
• Posts should be new (not duplicated or previously published elsewhere)
• Should be at least 500 words (about 500-750 words is the target length)
• Contain at least one photo or video to accompany the post
You can see where this blog lives and where posts will go live (after staff approval) on the Ask A Student page of our website. Any blog post may also be featured on our social media.
Our social media team is always eager to feature you, our ambassadors, on our platforms. Aside from testimonials, your blog posts can make for great content as well. Our social team may reach out to you to ask for quotes or headshots for these purposes. You are under no obligation to join in these efforts if you prefer, and if you ever have a question about the authenticity of a request, please reach out to us to verify. Correspondences would come from our @uci.edu accounts or from our official platforms. We currently actively maintain the following:

Ambassador Training Guide
The Ambassador Training Guide, produced by the Unibuddy vendor, is a great tool to help set up your account, learn about the chatting features, troubleshooting issues and more.
Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct was a requirement for all Ambassadors to review, agree to and sign in order to onboard and start the program. You may reference it here, and if you would like a copy of your personal signed version, you may reach out to us to receive it.

Need some inspiration on something to write? Here are some ideas to get that going for you. Check back each month for new ideas!

• Share your story of how you applied, from learning about our programs, getting your F-1 student visa, to arriving here
Get to know our other Ambassadors - former international DCE students from around the world working on the same initiatives as you. Make a friend, share ideas, problem solve, encourage each other and network! Below are Ambassadors who have agreed to have their contact information shared with the group.
If you know of someone who would like to join our Unibuddy Ambassador program, you can tell a Lead Ambassador, a staff member, or they can fill out the Unibuddy Interest Form. We will be happy to speak with them and initiate a training and onboarding if it is a good fit. It is required that they are either currently enrolled in, or have completed, at least one of the international programs here at DCE.
