Step 4: Acceptance Decision Notification

When the UCI Division of Continuing Education approves your eligibility for ASAP, an official Acceptance Confirmation Letter will be sent to you. This letter is usually sent by e-mail and will describe ASAP policies and request the non-refundable Program Deposit of $5,000 USD required.

(Note: Students who are government-sponsored must provide an official letter of financial support in lieu of the Program Deposit to confirm the acceptance; otherwise, applicants are expected to submit the Program Deposit to avoid any delay in the application process.)

Step 5: Completion of Pre-Arrival Orientation

After the UCI Division of Continuing Education receives your signed Acceptance Confirmation Letter and the Program Deposit of $5,000 USD, you will be required to complete the ASAP online Pre-Arrival Orientation.

Step 6: Final Confirmation of Acceptance

Once you have completed the ASAP online Pre-Arrival Orientation, you will receive an official Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Form I-20, and Welcome Packet. With the Letter of Acceptance and Form I-20, you will be able to submit a request for a student (F-1) visa from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your area.
