UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education offers 3 Evening Certificate Programs (ECPs) led by instructors with extensive industry and professional experience. The courses integrate you, the international professional, with American professionals and offer the latest in cutting-edge research and technologies, while utilizing the collaborative and practical approach in the classroom that you can apply immediately on the job. ECPs take about 9 months to complete. Attend a Professional Communications Seminar to gain a deeper understanding of your courses and to further develop your English skills for greater success.
All certificate program course requirements and electives must be completed with a grade “C” or better in each course, unless otherwise noted.
Per requirements set forth by the Department of Homeland Security, international students on an F or J visa must take a minimum of 12 units per quarter and only one class may be taken in an online format.
Length of Time
Some certificates can be completed in six months of full-time study; many take 9 months to a year. The time required to complete a certificate program can vary depending on a variety of factors, including course sequencing, scheduling and demand.
All ECPs are designed for professionals and are mainly attended by Americans. Make life-long friends by working and studying along side of your American counterparts. For a full list of our ECPs, visit the Certificates area of the main Division of Continuing Education web site.
